Come take a ride.

On the emotional roller coaster that was my weekend.

Friday night was great, for a work night.  I went to work with the attitude that it was a fantastic night, and it was going to stay that way, and I'll be damned if it didn't.  Guess The Secret, is right.  Positive thoughts attract positive happenings, which is something I already knew, but think I needed a reminder about.  And thinking how great my night was going to be, that's exactly how great it was.  Well, for being at work on a Friday night anyways.

Then Saturday, as I sit sipping my coffee, at the local coffee stand, thinking how great life was, I get a text from my sweet friend KT, with the news that her dad had passed in his sleep over night.  Now, I haven't known this guy for very long, but it didn't take long for me to just fall in love with his warm heart and huge smile.  He was always super sweet to me, he was so loved by many, and he will be greatly missed by everyone that ever met him.  The younger and I went over for the morning to comfort and just, be there for our friends.

With a heavy feeling in my heart, I motored on through the day, taking my younger out to get her costume.  Who'da thunk that the Halloween store would be so packed the weekend before Halloween???!!!  Since we had waited so long to get her costume, they were of course sold out of the one she wanted, and many others that were considered "runner up's".  But, she finally picked one, and all was right with the world.

It's now Saturday night, 7:00 pm, and I'm thinking, maybe I'll just skip the Halloween party I was invited to, and stay in and watch scary movies, all alone, but then I think, "what the hell?, why not go to the Halloween party and have some laughs, while surrounding yourself with people that think you're cool?"  So I put my happy face on, and went to my very first Halloween party, not at a bar.

My happy face.

And boy am I glad I did, because look at what I got to see.

Zombies vs. Vampires.  Still not sure who won.

The dark angel of mischief.  Boy, did she ever live up to that name.

Some of the gang.  PeeWee rocked.

Me and some more of the gang.  Were awesome!
Little Miss Vampire thought she could jump outta shot before I took it.  Not so lucky my dear.

I stayed out all night long and had a wonderful time with all of my friends.

I wish Halloween was every month.  That would rock.

Now off to do some chores.

It's going to be a great day!
