Merry Christmas to all of you out there. I hope your day is filled with Fun, Family and Love. If you find yourself getting down about something today, please remember....there's always someone worse off than you. Take a minute to take stock of all the wonderful things in your life, and try not to spread negativity, it's a gift nobody wants, and almost everyone returns.
XOXOXO
See you all tomorrow.

Thanks Pt. 2
Oh it's Monday, a day that I'm not really thankful for. I mean, I'm thankful that I'm alive and well today, but I'm not thankful that it's not Sunday anymore. I know, I know, don't be greedy with the time, just learn how to manage it better.
FINE!!!
Let's get back to the thing that I AM thankful for shall we. If you're noticing that I'm starting on eleven and you want to know where the first ten are, you can look right here, because if you think I'm just beginning here, you're seriously going to question my priorities in life, since I won't be thankful for my kids on this list. They get that once a year, and I already done said it. Ha, I'm really not that mean. No, I swear, I'm not.
Shall we?
11. I'm thankful for the little town I live in. I can go to our local grocery store and see a half-a-dozen people I know. Saturday mornings are spent at the local coffee stand where I used to work, catching up with all the locals as we all sit around, sipping coffee and shootin' the breeze. I love that my kids have grown up here, well for the last nine years anyways, and I hope to still be here innine nineteen forever.
12. I'm thankful for hair color. Not because I'm aging and getting some gray hairs. I don't really care about that, but because changing my hair color, is like an artistic way to paint myself. It's kind of like a temporary tattoo, that you can change if you don't like. May sound shallow, duh, my pool's not all deep, I have a kiddie end too.
13. I'm thankful for my creativity. Again, this may sound vain, but I like to think that I'm just confident in my ability to make pretty things. As a Libra, I was born to love pretty things and things that glitter and sparkle, or shine, have lots of bright colors, or just generally seem appealing. I love to create, and I'm at my happiest when I am.
14. To all those of you, who everyday, spend your life helping others, I thank you. Without people like you, and the love you give, this world would be a lot colder.
15. Music. I'm so thankful to have music. Whoever invented music. I thank you, I love you, you can have my soul when I die.
16. Living in a place where I'm free to make choices, good and bad. I'm free to voice my opinion and stand up for what I believe in. Thank you America, I don't want to know where I would be without you.
17. I'm pretty thankful for the ever growing technology. Aside from just computers, cellphones and other handy gadgets, there are the more important ones, like all the medical breakthroughs they've had, just in my lifetime. Without some of these, some of the most important of my loved ones, may not be here today.
18. Speaking of health, I'm thankful for mine. I've been a pretty healthy person my whole life, and I come from pretty healthy DNA and that means I'll be around for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong time.
19. I'm thankful that my daughter has found the man of her dreams. She loves him immensely and he loves her just as much. They are a great match and I wish them a lifetime of happiness.
20. I'm so very thankful for my furbabies. They fill my house with unconditional love and affection. It's so wonderful to come home to tail wagging dog or lay down on the couch and have my big cat jump on me and snuggle with me for hours. I love them so much and I'm so glad I have every one of them.
Part 3, coming soon.

Thanks Pt. 1
It seems as though everyone is doing a '30 days of Thanks', and I got to thinking, I'm pretty thankful for a lot of things, and then I thought, 'are you actually going to remember to sit down are write it out everyday', then I though 'ummm, no'.
So, I decided to do it in three parts, because I'm prettylazy cool like that.
Here's part one. The first ten.
PS. Is it shocking to anyone else that Thanksgiving is next Thursday? I'm stunned. Still.
Okay, here goes, for real this time.
1. I'm extremely thankful for 1/4 of my heart, The Mister. He's a pretty rad guy. He's not all romantical, and he can be quite a jackalope sometimes, but dammit, this bossy bitch loves him, and he loves me, for who I am, always.
2. My first daughter, my life changer, 1/4 of my heart. I'm so very thankful for you. You're the epitome of independence and elegance. You have an old fashioned soul, and the most generous heart of anyone I know, and I'm so incredibly proud to call you my daughter.
3. My almost an adult, baby girl, and 1/4 of my heart. I'm so thankful for you. I'm thankful that you've grown up, while keeping true to your childlike heart. You're full of glitter and rainbows, and you always go out of your way to make people smile. I'm so proud of who you are.
4. My sweet baby, my angel, the ageless boy that completes my heart. We had you for such a brief time, but you were so loved and we felt nothing but love from you. You completed my heart and our family, and I'm endlessly thankful to have met you.
5. The rest of my crazy ass family. Who would I be without this bunch? Whether it's my mommy giving me advice, one of my 6000 sisters making me laugh, or a Gram's that makes me feel nothing but love on a dark day. My aunts and uncles and 10, 000 cousins, I'm thankful for each and every one of you crazy people.
6. My friends, my girls, my bitches. Ya, we claim each other as bitches, but we mean it with love, some don't understand it, but that's okay. It's because we're that close, that we can say it, and I'd be the loneliest girl without them. Thanks for being in my life ladies. I love you all.
7. I'm thankful, that I have a job, and the desire to do my job to the best of my ability. It's not a glamorous job, but it's my job and I'm thankful to have it.
8. Nature. I'm thankful that I live in a place where I get to see beauty every time I walk outside my door.
9. And I'm thankful I have a nice camera to capture that beauty.
10. I'm thankful, that I have a place to vent my frustrations, celebrate good times, and just write about nothing and everything anytime I want. Thanks Blogger, for being a great outlet and bringing me friendships I may never had, had otherwise.
To be continued...

A birthday for America
I'm a little late one the "what I did for the fourth" post, but hey, better late than never right?
Every year we throw a couple parties. The Superbowl, Thanksgiving, a summer barbecue here and there, but nothing beats the Fourth of July. It's a day where everyone just walks around with their head held a little higher, an unintentional smile is worn their faces, the shine in their eyes, is a little....shinier, people are just happy on the Fourth of July. What's not to be happy about, anyways. I mean, it's America's birthday............and you get blow shit up. It's a win-win.
We usually have people over for the afternoon, then we BBQ, then the men make a last minute trip up to the reservation to see some old friends and load the truck up with explosives, then we go sit by the lake and watch the neighborhood show. Then we come home and put on our own show. This years festivities were dramatically smaller than our previous years. Usually we pack twenty or more in our house and on our deck, but this year, most of our regulars had plans to go somewhere else. This year we would only see eight of our friends, but you know, I kinda liked it that way. Not only was there a ton of food leftover for us to pig out on. But I feel like I had more time to actually sit and visit with our guests, rather than running around like a chicken on fire. It was nice.
Of course when it came time for fireworks I completely forgot that I owned a camera. Figures right? But I did manage to get the camera out once that day.
Hope you all had a great day, judging by some of your posts, you did.
Rock on!

Beauty of a day. Nice and warm, but not "sweat your ass off" hot. |
Wish I would have thought to put them in red, white and blue order. |
D in her "robot" wonder. Dressed all up in her red, white and blue. |
The older and her bf. She'd kill me if she new I put this up here. Please don't tell her. |
This is the only time you will ever see him cook. The.Only.Time. Ever. And Don of course, listening intently to another guest that I didn't get a picture of. |
The cake me and the younger made. It was delicious. |
Rock on!
