Soap tutorial and Giveaway. Postponed

So after my soap fiasco, I decided to have another go at it and as my luck would have it, my stick blender broke into pieces as it hit the floor.  Luckily I hadn't started making it yet, or I would have had a nervous meltdown.  I was hoping to be able to do a step-by-step tutorial with a nifty little contest, which I will still have, soon.  I got a new stick blender and am now more determined than ever to get a batch out.  So with a my tail between my legs, I have to postpone the contest.  Sadface!!

On the bright side, I have tapped into the tiny part of my brain marked "genius" and  decided to reschedule the contest to be part of  my 100th post celebration, which is only three posts away after today.  I can't believe I'm almost at a hundred.  It seems like just yesterday that I wrote this.  This wasn't my actual first post, but the first two somehow disappeared, never to be seen again.

So, I will be locking myself away in the kitchen today and tomorrow creating soapy masterpieces.  Not only do I want make soap the "cold process" way, I've been itching to try the "hot process" way as well.  I probably won't be doing a tutorial on that yet, since I have no idea what I'm doing.   So stay tuned, especially on Wednesday where I'll be holding a giveaway, whether I have soapy success or not.

Until Monday.  Rock on!!

  2. I have often looked at soap-making supplies at A.C.Moore, and thought it might be a nice (outside) activity for me to share with the kids. I'll look forward to your tutorial to see just how much potential trouble they will get into!
