If at first you don't succeed.

Destroy all evidence that you tried.

Today I had planned to write up a step-by-step tutorial on soap-making.  It's an easy, small batch recipe that makes about a half pound of soap, which can potentially last you, well, more than a few months if you only have one bathroom, like us.

Instead your getting this post.

A post that declares my EPIC FAIL.  Not complete with pictures, since I destroyed all evidence of my failed batch of soap.  Except for the soap.  I don't know what I'm going to do with the soupy mess.  Maybe I'll try to heat it up and reset it, or maybe I'll try to add it to another batch.  Or maybe it will just make my garbage can smell like fresh cut grass.  That's the fragrance I used wasted.

All I know is, I want to pretend that I didn't totally screw up the most basic recipe I have.  The one I've been making for over 10 years.  It kinda feels like making a terrible pot of coffee.

So now, I'm going to attempt to make another "simple batch" of soap.  Hopefully, this one works out, if so I'll post the tutorial and recipe on Friday, with a giveaway.

Stay tuned and Rock On!!!
